While quiet luxury has been gaining steam in some circles, Lauren Sanchez, Jeff Bezos’ fiancée, has been flaunting quite the opposite look.
Sanchez and Bezos have been galavanting across Europe this summer aboard the Amazon founder’s $500 million megayacht, and Sanchez has packed a variety of ‘loud luxury’ pieces.
Instead of donning neutral color palettes and label-less attire, two crucial components of quiet luxury dressing, Sanchez’s summer Yacht style has included an array of colorful and flashy ensembles that broadcast brand names.
For the couple’s engagement party earlier this month, Sanchez posted a picture of herself wearing a silver jeweled crop top and mini skirt set from the luxury fashion line Annie’s Ibiza.
She was also spotted in Saint-Tropez wearing a vibrantly patterned dress from Pucci, according to the Daily Mail. And while in Portofino she wore a lime green butterfly-patterned dress from Mirae.
Even Sanchez’s quieter-colored ensembles are body-cinching or extremely revealing, like the low-cut white eyelet dress she wore in Ibiza earlier this summer. Another white dress she wore in Spain was entirely encrusted in pearls, writes the Daily Mail.
While the cashmere, logo-less hat from Loro Piana, infamously worn by Kendall on Succession, might be the epitome of quiet luxury, Sanchez’s $635 Louis Vuitton visor with the luxury logo splashed across the front and sides is quite the opposite. She has also been seen sporting a loudly-logoed Chanel bag or holding the instantly recognizable Hermès Birkin bag.
Yachting, especially for celebrities and the ultra-wealthy, seems to have its own style genre. For men, GQ reported, that means swapping out starchy button-downs for linen shirts and donning Vilebrequin swim trunks. Jeff Bezos octopus-patterned pair of Vilebrequin trunks took the internet by storm in 2019. Women seem to favor colorful long dresses from high-end brands like Daniela Gregis and Mimi Liberté, a fashion buyer told the Wall Street Journal.
Sanchez, though, puts her own unique spin on Yatch style.
