Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 0.35%, while the index climbed 1.09%, and the index climbed 0.72%.

The best performers of the session on the were Vonovia SE (ETR:), which rose 5.14% or 1.08 points to trade at 22.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) added 4.20% or 15.20 points to end at 377.40 and Zalando SE (ETR:) was up 3.61% or 1.00 points to 28.73 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:), which fell 1.74% or 0.18 points to trade at 10.15 at the close. Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 1.35% or 0.14 points to end at 10.05 and Covestro AG (ETR:) was down 0.45% or 0.22 points to 49.07.

The top performers on the MDAX were LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:) which rose 6.42% to 66.60, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) which was up 5.37% to settle at 29.82 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which gained 5.18% to close at 33.73.

The worst performers were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.91% to 11.05 in late trade, Wacker Chemie O.N. (ETR:) which lost 1.16% to settle at 136.10 and Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:) which was down 0.88% to 1.75 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:) which rose 5.84% to 8.05, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.20% to settle at 377.40 and Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:) which gained 2.68% to close at 26.80.

The worst performers were Nagarro SE (ETR:) which was down 4.73% to 69.50 in late trade, PNE Wind AG (ETR:) which lost 2.15% to settle at 12.74 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:) which was down 1.91% to 11.05 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 401 to 239 and 101 ended unchanged.

Shares in HelloFresh SE (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 5.37% or 1.52 to 29.82. Shares in Nagarro SE (ETR:) fell to all time lows; falling 4.73% or 3.45 to 69.50.

The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 3.40% to 14.47 a new 1-month low.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.28% or 5.55 to $1,967.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.59% or 1.30 to hit $82.93 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.15% or 0.98 to trade at $86.22 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.73% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.33% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 103.59.
