Jung Kook Returns To Billboard’s Sales Chart Following The Release Of A High Profile Collaboration

News Room

Ever since he released his solo single “Seven,” Jung Kook has been present on a number of Billboard charts with the tune. As it approaches two months on various rankings, it makes sense that the cut has been falling slowly for some time. But this week, the track rises on some lists and even returns to one following the release of a new version of the global hit.

The BTS singer finds his way back to the Digital Song Sales chart this week as “Seven” reappears. The tune is back at No. 13, a lucky position for Jung Kook and Latto, the rapper featured on the hit single. The track sold another 3,900 copies in the prior tracking frame, according to data shared by Luminate.

“Seven” returns to the Digital Song Sales chart following a surge in purchases by fans. The tune isn’t new, but there is an updated version of the hit out now. A little more than a week ago, Jung Kook re-released “Seven” as a remix produced by Alesso, who has worked with a number of stars, now including the BTS star. Fans rushed to snap up another digital copy of the cut in an effort to support Jung Kook and the track itself.

As “Seven” finds its way back to the Digital Song Sales chart, the tune also improves its standing on the Hot 100 as well. The Hot 100 incorporates three forms of consumption to paint a picture of what Americans are listening to each week: streams, radio airplay, and sales. As its sales increase considerably from last frame, Jung Kook’s smash rises from No. 32 to No. 28 in its seventh turn on the tally.

“Seven” was a breakout hit from the moment it arrived, and it hasn’t slowed much since it debuted. The track, which was marketed as Jung Kook’s official first single on his own, debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100. As he saw the song open in first place on the most competitive ranking of tunes in the U.S., Jung Kook became only the second solo South Korean musician to reach the summit, following in the footsteps of his BTS bandmate Jimin.

“Seven” already ranks as one of the most successful releases in American history by a K-pop star, and it’s not done yet.
