Throughout 2023, Madonna has been releasing EPs and albums filled with remixes of some of her biggest hits. She’s been doing so in an effort to breathe new life into the tunes, delight her die-hard fans and perhaps even earn some more money from music she’s already made. But now, many of these collections have mysteriously disappeared from the world’s biggest streaming platform.
As of Friday, September 8, six of the seven remix collections Madonna has dropped throughout the past several months are no longer available to stream. The superstar’s albums of remixes centered around the songs “Ray of Light,” “Burning Up” and “Physical Attraction” (on one project), “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore,” “Nothing Really Matters,” “American Life” and “Hollywood” have all vanished.
Curiously, one of the seven remix albums Madonna has released in 2023 is still streamable. It’s the most recent of the bunch, which is all about her early hit “Lucky Star.” That three-song set, which doesn’t feature any reworkings by well-known producers but rather a trio of very similar versions of the tune, is still playable on Spotify.
The remix packages that have been removed from Spotify are still for sale on iTunes, which likely means they’re still available at least on Apple

At the moment, Madonna isn’t focused on releasing music but is preparing for her upcoming global trek, The Celebration Tour. The venture was supposed to begin earlier this summer, but a few weeks before the shows started, Madonna was hospitalized with a serious bacterial infection. Now, she’s back in rehearsals, and the tour is set to kick off in London this fall.
Also throughout 2023, the Grammy winner has shared several new singles with stars like The Weeknd and Sam Smith, scoring vital chart wins aside from her back catalog.
