Just as rock music is always changing, the same can be said for one of the biggest annual events in the genre.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony is set to mix up its annual ceremony with the organization’s first live streaming event. The annual induction show will be shown live on Disney+ this year, and rock lovers can tune in and join in on the fun as the action happens.

In the past, those who wanted to watch the hours-long ceremony, which includes a mix of speeches from inductees, introductions from some of music’s biggest stars and a bevy of must-see performances, had to wait weeks or even months to catch it on TV. By that time, the news of what had gone on had already been shared online, and much had been edited to make it fit on certain channels or platforms.

The Disney+ livestream of the rocking event is set to air on November 3 at 8 PM EST. The annual concert will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will also be made available to watch after the fact, following its live showing. In addition to being streamable on Disney+, a heavily edited edition of the show will also find its way to ABC as a special, which is already slated for a January 1, 2024 air date.

2023 marks the first year in some time that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony won’t be shown on HBO. The organization had a long-running deal with the cable network and streamer to air the concert, but it always made its way to viewers weeks after the event took place.

In addition to the groundbreaking streaming news, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame also announced its initial lineup of performers for the event. This year’s show is set to include performances by Brandi Carlile, Chris Stapleton, Dave Matthews, Elton John, H.E.R. and St. Vincent, among others. These stars will pay tribute to the bands and singers being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2023.

Some of the musicians earning the coveted honor this year, including Willie Nelson, Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott and Chaka Khan, will also take to the stage. A number of other inductees either won’t be performing or can’t, based on availability or the fact that members from the bands are no longer with us.
