Jung Kook Replaces Himself At No. 1 On Spotify’s Ranking Of The Most-Streamed Songs In The World

News Room

Jung Kook’s new single “3D” was released just half a week ago, and it quickly gained attention as a potential hit due to its warm reception from fans worldwide. Now, the tune appears to be growing in popularity as the days pass, with the singer achieving the remarkable feat of replacing himself at No. 1 on Spotify’s daily global chart.

“3D” has become the new top-streamed song in the world on the most popular streaming platform. On October 2, the track garnered a little over 6.5 million plays on Spotify alone. It catapulted from No. 3 to No. 1, reaching the summit for the first time.

As “3D” conquers Spotify’s ranking of the most-streamed songs globally, Jung Kook swaps one winner for another. Just the day before, the BTS star dominated the tally with his previous smash hit, “Seven.” Now, “Seven” has slipped slightly to No. 2, amassing another 6.45 million plays on Spotify on October 2.

An alternate version of “3D,” released simultaneously with the original, also appears on Spotify’s chart. However, it is not performing nearly as well as the main version, and it recently experienced a significant drop of more than 50 positions in a single day. It now sits at No. 162 on the tally.

Spotify’s global chart may witness an influx of Jung Kook’s music in the coming days, as the singer has recently released several new versions of “3D.” He dropped a remix EP dedicated to the tune, featuring sped-up, slowed-down, clean, and A.G. Cook remixes of the song. While it’s unlikely that any of them will challenge for the top spot, they may garner enough streams in their initial days on the platform to secure chart positions.
