Jung Kook is currently savoring the taste of major chart success, as his new single “3D” debuts inside the top five on this week’s Hot 100. While celebrating his latest significant achievement, the BTS star is making it clear that he is not one to rest on his laurels. He has another new single in the pipeline, set to drop very, very soon.
Pop singer The Kid Laroi has confirmed that his new single, “Too Much,” will feature Jung Kook. The tune is slated to arrive on Friday, October 20, and it will also feature rapper Central Cee.
The Grammy-nominated musician gave the world a tease as to what’s to come with a teaser, seemingly for a music video that will accompany the single. In a tweet, Laroi also confirmed that his album, which will almost surely feature “Too Much,” is coming in November.
Laroi had been teasing this collaboration for a few days, so the announcement didn’t come as a complete surprise. The Australian star had hinted at the pairing on social media, even posting a picture with Jung Kook.
Throughout 2023, Laroi has released several singles, but most have come and gone without making a substantial impact, even in his home country of Australia, where he’s a bigger name than in the U.S. He has been working toward the release of a new album, reportedly titled The First Time. It appears that after several solo tracks didn’t become chart-toppers, Laroi is enlisting the help of some famous friends to make a splash.
Jung Kook is currently enjoying an incredibly productive and successful period in his solo career. Before “3D” with Jack Harlow arrived, the BTS superstar dropped what was labeled his debut solo single, “Seven.” That tune, which credited rapper Latto, opened at No. 1 on the Hot 100. Both “Seven” and “3D” are expected to be featured on Jung Kook’s debut solo album, Golden, which is scheduled to be released on November 3.
