Adele Extends Successful Las Vegas Residency ‘One Last Time’

One of Sin City’s most popular residencies is nearly coming to an end, but Adele is not finished yet. The singer is giving her “Weekends With Adele” show in Las Vegas one final extension.

The 32 new dates will kick off in January 2024 and culminate in June at the Colosseum at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. The “Weekends With Adele” residency initially premiered in November 2022.

“This residency, these shows have changed my life. I desperately needed to fall back in love with performing live again, and I have,” the 16-time Grammy winner wrote on X (formerly Twitter). “I needed to reconnect with my songs and remember what they mean to me, and I have!”

Adele continued, “I’ve felt so much and learned so much about myself and you. It’s humanized everything I thought was scary. Mostly though – it’s just made me realize how much I really enjoy being on stage, that I’m bloody good at it and that it is 100% where I belong!” Read her full statement, below.

Fans should register for tickets for the newly added dates to mitigate the risk of scalpers and automated bots. Registration is currently open on Ticketmaster.com and will remain so until Monday (Oct. 23) at 10 p.m. PT. Those selected at random will receive a unique code enabling them to purchase tickets when they become available for sale on Thursday (Oct. 26).

The extension comes after the English singer-songwriter added 34 new dates to the residency earlier this March. She also took a three-month hiatus and returned to the stage this summer.

Over the years, the singer has shed light on what she plans to do once the weekly performances are over. She reportedly said during a Q&A session with fans in 2022 that she intends to get a degree in English literature, according to the Sun.

“If I hadn’t made it in my singing, I think I would definitely be a teacher. I think I’d be an English lit teacher,” Adele said at the event. “I definitely feel like I use my passion of English lit in what I do. But even though it’s not like I’d go on to get a job from my degree, I wish I had gone to university, I wish I’d had that experience.”

She clarified, “I won’t go to a university, I’ll do it online and with a tutor, but that’s my plan for 2025. It’s just to get the qualifications.”

In addition to a degree, the hitmaker added that she would like to pursue an acting career. She previously reached out to Elvis director Baz Luhrmann and expressed a desire to work with him.

“I sent him a text saying, ‘I wish I was in this movie, please don’t retire, let me do something,’” she also told fans in the session.
