Bobby Berk is saying goodbye to Queer Eye. The beloved interior design expert announced on Nov. 13 that he’s leaving the Netflix reboot after Season 8.
“It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that season 8 will be my final season on ‘Queer Eye.’ It’s not been an easy decision to be at peace with, but a necessary one,” Berk penned on X. “Although my journey with ‘Queer Eye’ is over, my journey with you is not. You will be seeing more of me very soon.”
The interior designer first joined Netflix’s Queer Eye — a reboot of 2003’s original Bravo series — in Season 1 in 2018. The show follows a team of five gay men (also known as the “Fab Five”) as they work together and use their specialties (fashion, grooming, food and wine, culture and design) to help transform the lives of individuals who are struggling.
Season 8 is set to premiere on January 24, 2024, on Netflix

The news of Berk’s exit comes the same day Netflix renewed the beloved series for Season 9, which will take place in Las Vegas. Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown, Antoni Porowski and Tan France are expected to return for the ninth installment.
