The upcoming Sonic Dream Team showed off its very nice opening animation and the game looks surprisingly decent as well.
For fans of the old Sonic Adventure games, with those being some of my favorite Dreamcast releases, it seems that Sonic Dream Team is somewhat of a spiritual and functional successor.
Again, Tyson Hesse and his team have created some excellent animation for the game’s opening movie (shown below) and I just love the fact that Sega is finally doing right by the blue hedgehog with this kind of much needed fan service.
Sonic Dream Team is also proof that mobile games are increasingly becoming more like straight up console game releases. This has been happening for a good while, but Sonic Dream Team wouldn’t look at all out of place on the Switch or PlayStation 5.
The game also has a nice roster of playable characters, from Sonic to Amy Rose, Cream the Rabbit, Knuckles the Echidna, Miles “Tails” Prower and Rouge the Bat.
Sonic Dream Team is released via Apple Arcade on December 5. So you will be able to play it on an array of iOS devices and your Mac too.
