Nobody can sell an album on vinyl like Taylor Swift. The singer has proved herself to be the queen of the format, and her performance on this week’s edition of Billboard’s chart devoted to wax shows once again that she can’t be beaten…and not only when she has something new to sell.
This week, Swift claims the entirety of the top five on Billboard’s Vinyl Albums chart. The ranking looks only at the titles that sold the most copies on vinyl in the U.S. in the prior tracking frame, and Swift dominates in a manner only she can manage.
For a solid month now, Swift has ruled the Vinyl Albums chart with her most recent release, 1989 (Taylor’s Version). The set, a re-recorded take on her 1989 pop blockbuster, has proved to be an incredible seller, especially when it comes to vinyl.
Her next three highest-ranking titles all rise from where they sat last frame. Up to No. 2 is Midnights. That 2022 project is followed by Folklore at No. 3 and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) at No. 4. Steady in fifth place is Lover, which was released all the way back in 2019.
As if owning the top five on the Vinyl Albums chart wasn’t a great enough show of dominance, those five titles only tell part of the story of Swift’s control. The superstar also occupies two more spots inside the top 10 on the tally this frame. Red (Taylor’s Version) is a non-mover at No. 9, while Fearless (Taylor’s Version) returns to the region, surging from No. 12 to No. 10.
