Tim Burton was joined by Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Danny DeVito and other stars Tuesday as he got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The honor comes just days before the release of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the sequel to the supernatural comedy classic Beetlejuice, starring Keaton in the title role.

In addition to Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder spoke at the event. Ryder stars in the original Beetlejuice and its new sequel, and also starred in Burton’s Edward Scissorhands and voiced a role in his stop-motion animated feature Frankenweenie.

Burton’s star was installed at 6600 Hollywood Boulevard in front of Hollywood Toys & Costume.
Also attending the event were Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star Monica Bellucci, as well as Burton collaborator Danny DeVito.
DeVito starred in Burton’s films Batman Returns, Big Fish and Dumbo, and also appeared in Mars Attacks!
Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Steve Nissen presided over Burton’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.
Burton poses with his new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The director’s feature debut came in 1985 with Pee-wee’s Big Adventure, starring the late Paul Reubens.
Burton’s other director credits include Batman, Ed Wood, Sleepy Hollow, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, Alice in Wonderland, Dark Shadows, Big Eyes and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
Burton also is an executive director and director of the Netflix blockbuster Wednesday and wrote the story and produced Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
