Super Bowl Snacks With A New Orleans Theme Emerge For The Big Game

This year’s big game will take place in the Big Easy, and snacks around the country will celebrate New Orleans’ strong culinary culture. In honor of Super Bowl LIX, local Louisiana restaurants are preparing to ship out their wares, specialty items and delicious goods nationwide to let football fans and snackers across America feel like they’re near Caesars Superdome, where two teams will play the National Football League’s championship game on Sunday, February 9.

The NFL has teamed up with Goldbelly, the online marketplace known for shipping America’s iconic foods across the US and Canada, for their first ever officially licensed Super Bowl LIX Tailgate Kits.

Designed to be enjoyed as at-home football food experience, the boxes are filled with snacks from New Orleans restaurants, plus Super Bowl LIX-branded plates, souvenir cups, napkins and tablecloths.

Pralines are ready to dig into. Central Grocery’s Muffuletta Olive Salad will add some much-needed veg into the mix. The Classics Kit is designed to serve up to eight people, and costs $99 including shipping.

Those who want premium kits can also upgrade for a taste of one of America’s best food cities with iconic specialties from some of New Orleans’ most legendary restaurants including Dooky Chase’s Creole Jambalaya Kit ($199), Cochon’s Muffuletta Kit ($279), Louisiana Crawfish’s Crawfish Boil Party Kit ($219), Chef Kelly Fields’ Cajun Brunch Kit ($199), Willie Mae’s Fried Chicken & Sides Kit ($249 , and All-Madden Original Cajun Turducken Kit ($299). Also out of New Orleans: Thematic ingredients. Dagostino Pasta, known as the oldest pasta company in Louisiana, will debut a new shape to its 100-year-old brand. A festive Fleur De Lis Pasta represents the city and its football team (though the New Orleans Saints are out of the running for the Super Bowl). and symbolizes rebirth and resilience for the city. The pasta is made in small batches, extruded through special bronze dies, and dried, for artisanal quality pasta in fun shapes.
