Looking for Monday’s Strands hints, spangram and answers? You can find them here:
Welcome back, dearest Strandistarians. It’s basically summer out in my neck of the woods. Everyone is in tank-tops and crop-tops and shorts. Much like the book Winds Of Winter, it appears winter is good and truly not coming. Oh well, I’m going to make the most of it! In any case, we have a Strands to solve, words to uncover, a grid to conquer. Let’s do it!
Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day’s theme.
Spoilers ahead.

Today’s Strands Breakdown
The thing that threw me off to day was finding the word GOBLIN fairly early on. I’d already snagged PIXIE and SPRITE and then GOBLIN didn’t work, so I thought maybe it was part of a spangram, but even when I found HOBGOBLIN, which spanned the grid, that wasn’t the spangram. It was just north of there, IMPISH, though I didn’t get it until the end. First I found FAIRY and GREMLIN, then the spangram, and last the longest word of the bunch: LEPRECHAUN, which I always forget how to spell.
