Well, we’ve come to both the last day of the week and the last day of the month. February’s short stay in 2025 has come to an end, and March and the dream of spring, looms just around the corner. The first weekend of the new month means a new Strands guide here at Forbes Games as well, but I’ll be back in a couple weeks. Let’s solve today’s!
Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. One of these words is the spangram which crosses from one side of the grid to another and reveals even more about the day’s theme.

Today’s Strands Breakdown
This was actually a pretty easy Strands compared to the last couple days, which both had me on the verge of stumped. The theme was pretty on-the-nose, but this was still a fun one to solve, mostly because it’s so imagistic. I found SHIP first, then EAGLE, then once I had TATTOO I worked backwards and uncovered the spangram. From here, the final few words made themselves apparent quickly enough.
