Brenntag said Thursday that it has appointed chief executive officers to its two divisions as part of a new governance model.
The German chemical company said Ewout van Jarwaarde will lead Brenntag Essentials as its CEO, replacing Chief Financial Officer Steven Terwindt, who will leave after 25 years to pursue other opportunities. Chief Operating Officer Michael Friede will continue to lead the Brenntag Specialties division, but will become its CEO.
Both changes will be effective from Aug. 1, Brenntag said. They are part of a larger redesign that will create two additional divisions, Life Science and Material Science, in January.
