Electric vehicles still make up only a small fraction of overall new-car sales. However, that’s rapidly changing and will likely change even more quickly over the coming years. New EVs are introduced to the market every year, many at more affordable prices. It’s true, there are still plenty of pricey EVs coming out next year. However, we’ve kept this list focused on mainstream models due to arrive in calendar year 2024, excluding limited-production models and supercars, to make it as relevant to you, the new EV shopper, as possible.
Without further ado, here are the electric cars, trucks, and SUVs coming to the U.S. market in 2024 and beyond.
2024 Acura ZDX
Acura’s first-ever all-electric vehicle is due next year in the form of the 2024 Acura ZDX. Expected to start around $60,000, the ZDX EV shares its architecture with the Ultium-based Cadillac Lyriq. Therefore, it should offer a similar maximum range of about 312 miles. Power output should also be similar to the Lyriq, with single-motor models rated around 340 horsepower and dual-motor models capable of up to 500 horsepower.
2025 Buick Electra
The Electra name was previously used for a line of Buick sedans from 1959 to 1990. The 2025 Buick Electra is expected to arrive as an electric SUV with seating for five and an architecture also based on GM’s
GM,
Ultium platform. That translates to similar range and power outputs as the ZDX and Lyriq, though perhaps without the high-performance dual-motor variants. The Electra is expected to reach retail sales in late 2024.

2025 Dodge Charger Daytona SRT
The era of big, brawny muscle cars is far from over. In fact, it may only be dawning, as battery packs and electric motors free big-horsepower vehicles from their smoggy shackles. This will allow power outputs to approach and possibly eclipse even Hellcat levels. The 2025 Dodge Charger Daytona SRT aims to accomplish much of that, at any rate, judging by the concept shown at the 2022 Specialty Equipment Market Association meet. The Daytona SRT concept is said to offer three power levels: 456 horsepower, 590 horsepower, and an even more powerful Banshee variant. The 2025 Charger Daytona SRT could arrive by the end of 2024.

2024 Fiat 500e
Fiat’s fun, retro-styled urban runabout, the 500, hasn’t offered an electric variant in the U.S. since 2019. However, the model that’s making an electric return to our shores will be all-new. It will arrive in early 2024 with an emphasis on style, fashion, and sustainable mobility. The 2024 Fiat 500e will also represent a chance to breathe some life back into Fiat’s dealer network, which currently only offers a single model, the 500X subcompact crossover.

2024 Fisker Pear
A small city EV, the 2024 Fisker
FSR,
Pear promises to make urban electric driving considerably more affordable with a starting price, before incentives, of just $29,900. The Pear’s specs and features are still under wraps, but we do know this 5-seater will be just a bit under 15 feet long and it will offer updatable technology. Fun fact: PEAR stands for Personal Electric Automotive Revolution.
2024 GMC Sierra EV
The 2024 GMC Sierra EV is due to arrive in early 2024 at an eye-watering starting price of $107,000. But that hefty price includes substantial capabilities. The Sierra EV is estimated to get up to 400 miles of charge, provide up to 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque, and accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds. And that’s all while being able to tow up to 9,500 pounds and offer Super Cruise drive-assistance tech. The Sierra EV shares its underpinnings with the Silverado EV and the Hummer EV, and it gains the latter’s ability to use 4-wheel steering with CrabWalk.

2024 Honda Prologue
A joint effort between Honda
HMC,
and General Motors, the 2024 Honda Prologue is, like several other vehicles on this list, based on the Ultium architecture. Expect a choice of single- or dual-motor powertrains, a maximum range of around 300 miles, and a host of familiar Honda details inside and out. It’s also set to be Honda’s first full-production pure electric vehicle in North America. The Prologue is expected to arrive in early 2024.
2024 Jeep Recon
Originally expected to arrive in the 2023 calendar year, the Jeep Recon will now be a 2024 arrival. We expect pricing to start around $60,000. The Recon will be “inspired by the Wrangler,” the brand’s legendary off-roader, according to Jeep. What that means remains to be seen. We expect a midsize SUV similar in size to the 4-door Wrangler Unlimited.
2024 Jeep Wagoneer S
The 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S — or whatever it may be called in production — is the pavement-scorching companion to the off-road-focused Recon. It has a planned 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds, faster than the already blistering Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Jeep is also aiming for a 400-mile range for the Wagoneer S. With such a big battery pack and quick acceleration, it’s likely the Wagoneer S will offer a dual-motor configuration with all-wheel drive (AWD), as well as more affordable variants.

It brings an armada of technology and all the luxury it can muster to the rapidly expanding electric SUV class. Expect the Gravity to start around $100,000. It may come standard in an all-wheel-drive, dual-motor version. Upgrades could include a tri-motor powertrain generating more than 1,200 horsepower, a max range of over 400 miles, and fantastically quick acceleration and charging.

2024 Porsche Macan EV
The 2024 Porsche Macan EV is coming. If Porsche has its way, it’s bound to be a big upgrade for the performance of the midsize SUV segment. It sports a 169-horsepower boost over the combustion-powered Macan, which currently maxes out at 434 horsepower in the turbocharged Macan GTS. The upcoming Macan EV also promises excellent handling as well as dynamic performance.
2025 Ram 1500 REV
Not due until the end of 2024, the 2025 Ram 1500 REV will be the last of the major American pickups to join the all-electric fray. It’s expected to start at about $58,000, with fully equipped models likely rising above the $100,000 mark. Dodge says the Ram 1500 REV targets a maximum range of 500 miles, with a standard range of 350. The 1500 REV won’t be giving up much in ability, either. It has an expected tow rating of 14,000 pounds and up to 2,700 pounds of payload capacity
