This summer is a hot one, and what better way to cool down than with a sweet, frozen treat? Lucky for us, July is National Ice Cream Month, and today is National Ice Cream Day, so there’s plenty of deals and discounts on ice cream on offer.
Here’s the scoop on some of the places around the US, in alphabetical order, where you can get free or discounted ice cream this weekend:
Baskin-Robbins
From July 16-22, customers can get $5 off orders of $20 or more through DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Postmates. If you’re buying in-store, you can get the same offer using promo code SEIZETHEYAY on Baskin-Robbins’ website or app.
Carvel
You can get $5 off any Carvel order of $25 or more made on Sunday through order.carvel.com, DoorDash, Grubhub or Uber Eats.
Dairy Queen
On Sunday, app users can get $1 off any Dipped Cone, excluding kids’ cones.
Dippin’ Dots
You can get free mini cup of any flavor Dippin’ Dots on Sunday during a two-hour period that varies by location, so check with your local store. The company is also giving 20% off online orders on Sunday if you use the promo code NICD23 at checkout. Find more information here.
Friendly’s
From July 15-19, you can get a single scoop cone for $0.88. On Sunday, the first 88 people in stores will get free limited-edition Friendly’s merch, a Happy Ending Sundae, and kids’ Monster Mash tattoos.
Graeter’s Ice Cream
Mark 153 years of Graeter’s with $1.53 single-dip sugar cones. Rewards members should see an offer in their account to redeem before July 31. If you don’t have a loyalty account yet, you can get the offer when you sign up.
Insomnia Cookies
Insomnia Cookies is offering a free scoop of ice cream with an in-store purchase or local delivery order, from July 14-16.
Klondike
New Yorkers will also find a Klondike pop-up truck in Union Square on Sunday from 11am-7pm handing out free frozen treats as part of the company’s Hometowns Contest.
Marble Slab Creamery
Loyalty members can get a free small ice cream on Sunday.
Pressed Juicery
You can get a size 1 Freeze with up to three toppings for $3, all day Sunday at Pressed Juicery locations that carry the plant-based dairy-free soft serve.
Salt & Straw
When you buy three pints via local delivery order on Salt & Straw’s website on Sunday, you can get a fourth pint free.
Van Leeuwen
For any New Yorkers, Van Leeuwen’s cofounders and Lead Ice Cream Taster will be handing out free ice cream next week, on July 18, from 4-6pm at their SoHo location.
Yonutz
Starting at 2pm local time on Sunday, the first 50 customers at participating locations can get a free Create Yo! Own SMASHED Ice Cream treat.
