As belts keep tightening at some agencies and in-house PR departments, PR pros must now pivot as fast as their clients, moving from media relations to social platforms to content creation to crisis management, often in the same day.

In such a complex, rapid-response environment, talent matters more than ever. Business Insider has identified 23 rising stars in the PR industry who are meeting the challenge.

Though some are just starting their careers at PR firms like The Levinson Group and Finn Partners, they’re scoring media coups, conquering social platforms, bolstering reputations, and delivering results that reinforce client relationships.

Other rising stars are in-house, helping brands like OpenAI, McDonald’s and The Home Depot grow, managing comms teams, and working directly with CEOs. Several rising stars are former journalists who crossed into PR.

We used nominations and original reporting to find individuals with a track record of working with big accounts or major brands and demonstrating leadership abilities.
