Fans of Britney Spears have been eagerly awaiting the release of her first memoir, The Woman In Me, for years. Now, before anyone’s had a chance to read the tell-all, it seems the pop singer is already hard at work one another and is planning on releasing a second chapter to the tome.
The superstar recently took to Instagram to not only promote the book, but hint that there may be another story coming at some point. In a now-deleted post (quoted by iHeartRadio), the chart-topper shared a video of herself and some friends flying over the ocean going somewhere lovely and then riding horseback, but where exactly isn’t clear.
In the caption to the glitzy peek into her lifestyle, Spears wrote, “Riding ‘n writing.” As if that wasn’t clear enough—as she could be taking about writing new music—the singer added, “All I’m doing at the moment … volume 2 coming after 1.” She included a handful of emojis and then a hashtag connecting the post to her memoir.
It’s not clear when Spears stopped writing The Woman In Me, so it’s not yet known where the book leaves off. In only the past few months, a lot has happened with he singer, including several welfare visits from the police and an upcoming divorce to her third husband, Sam Asghari. She may want to dive into those topics and more, perhaps including stories that didn’t fit into the first book.
The Woman In Me is expected to arrive on bookstore shelves on October 24. The title is being published by Simon and Schuster, and it is set to be the true story of her life and career, finally told from her point of view.
The book is already expected to be one of the bestselling of 2023, based on the intense interest in Spears and everything connected to her. The singer was reportedly paid $15 million for the memoir.
