BTS’s V Drops More Solo Tracks Ahead Of His Album’s Release

News Room

BTS fans around the world have reason to celebrate as one of the group’s singers, V, has shared new music just days before a major project is set to drop.

On Monday, August 28, Big Hit Music, the agency representing BTS and its members, announced that three of V’s older solo tracks, “Scenery,” “Winter Bear” and “Snow Flower” are now available on all popular streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple

Music. This marks the first time that these songs have been made widely accessible on major streaming services, as they were previously only been available to hear on SoundCloud and YouTube.

V first shared “Scenery” back in January 2019. Fans loved the tune, and they seemingly enjoyed hearing from the artist outside of the band that made him a star.

Later that same year, V treated fans to “Winter Bear,” another solo title. The two were only separated by a few months, and while neither were chart hits—due largely to the fact that they weren’t widely available—die-hard supporters of V streamed them where they could.

The following year, in December 2020, V returned again with more music not connected to BTS, but this time, he wasn’t alone. He teamed up with fellow musician Peakboy for “Snow Flower.”

This move to bring V’s solo tracks to major streaming platforms comes at an opportune time, as it aligns with the upcoming release of his debut solo project, titled Layover. The six-song EP is set to drop on September 8.

So far, two tunes from Layover have already been released as singles. Both “Love Me Again” and “Rainy Days” were released just hours apart from each other, and they both secured spots within the top 10 on the Digital Song Sales chart. Of the two, “Love Me Again” has become the bigger hit, and, so far, the only one to make it to the Hot 100. The tune debuted at No. 96 on the ranking last week.

None of V’s latest three releases are set to be featured on Layover, but their appearance may spark renewed interest in his work and hopefully help him when it comes time to give fans the full EP.
