A new celebrity-infused renovation reality show with a cause will soon make its way to TV and mobile screens. It’s called Juntos en Acción (Together in Action), hosted by renowned actor and singer Carlos Ponce and his wife Karina Banda, a former news anchor turned TV personality.
The four-episode Spanish-language series, produced by Warner Bros. Discovery’s U.S. Hispanic division in collaboration with Omnicom Media Group, embarks on missions to identify communities in need, joining forces with local leaders, celebrities, and businesses to spearhead much-needed renovation projects.
Design guru Daniela Nares and general contractor Arturo Contreras will play pivotal roles in bringing these transformative initiatives to life.
“Juntos en Acción is a fusion of powerful, emotive storytelling that brings the stories and lives of Latinos to the forefront, providing a platform for brands to connect with their audiences,” says David Tardio, VP of Integrated Ad Sales and Marketing at WBD U.S. Hispanic.
Through their partnership with WBD, OMG will leverage brand integrations featuring some of its clients on this project.
Singer-songwriter and La Voz Kids USA and La Voz Mexico coach Natalia Jiménez, and actors Adamari Lopez, David Chocarro and Karla Monroig are also part of this season’s celebrity lineup, helping select renewal projects and appearing during key moments. Additionally, the series will feature nonprofit organizations such as the Mexican American Council, The Tom Ramsey Foundation, Fit Kids of America, and El Hogar del Buen Pastor.
Combining celebrity influence, purpose-driven stories and support for the Hispanic community through impactful renovation projects, the series aims to deliver a fusion of entertainment, brand visibility and multimedia engagement.
Filming of Juntos en Acción, which took place in Austin, Miami and Puerto Rico, has already wrapped up. Exclusive content, including behind-the-scenes footage, character profiles and tips will be featured on social media.
The series is set to premiere in the second quarter of 2024 across WBD linear and digital platforms and boosted through a series of podcasts.
