Elvis Presley Just Released A New Collaborative Single

News Room

Elvis Presley has been gone for decades, but he remains one of the most popular musicians in the world. Millions continue to listen to and buy his music, and interest in him and his work has barely dwindled in the years since his death. Now, the King has released an exciting new collaboration just in time for the holidays.

Presley’s estate has released a new version of his single “Blue Christmas.” The tune now includes country singer-songwriter Kane Brown, who mixes things up by adding his own twang to the holiday standard.

The newly reworked take on “Blue Christmas” was released ahead of a new TV special honoring the late, great rocker. Christmas At Graceland is set to air on NBC on November 29, ushering in the holiday season. Brown will be on hand to perform his updated version of “Blue Christmas.”

In addition to Brown and his Presley duet, Christmas At Graceland will also feature a slew of big names performing to honor the King. Also on the bill for that televised event are Alanis Morissette, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Lainey Wilson, Lana Del Rey and Post Malone, among others. They are all set to tackle a Presley smash, and the entire show will take place in the famed Graceland, his former home.

Presley’s estate has authorized many single releases, reworkings, and collaborations in the years since he died. In fact, this isn’t even the first new duet take on “Blue Christmas” to be shared posthumously. In 2008, Martina McBride released a collaborative version as well which reached the Billboard charts.

“Blue Christmas” was first released by Presley as a single in 1964. So far, the cut has climbed to No. 24 on the Hot 100. In the decades since it was released, it has continued to remain popular, returning to some charts every year as it’s returned to streaming playlists and put back into radio rotation.
