Admit it…you did not necessarily watch Suits in its original run on the USA Network. You found it on Netflix. You binged all nine seasons. And you having been desperately wanting more of Gabriel Macht as the successful and charismatic attorney Harvey Specter.
Good news! Gabriel Macht is returning in a three-episode story arc (and, hopefully, more episodes at a later time) in the upcoming NBC spin-off Suits: L.A.
“When an old friend is in need, it’s time to take care of things and make those very ‘things’ right,” wrote Macht on Instagram about his upcoming return as Harvey Specter after a five year absence.
The connection: Harvey Specter and the lead character in Suits L.A., Ted Black (Stephen Amell), were both were former prosecutors in New York.
The scoop: Suits: L.A centers on Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself by representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other and they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives.
Debuting on Sunday, February 23, 2025 in the 9 p.m. ET hour on NBC, Suits: L.A. will also feature Josh McDermitt as Stuart Lane, Lex Scott Davis as Erica Rollins, and Bryan Greenberg as Rick Dodsen.
Gabriel Macht’s arrival on Suits: L.A., of course, begs the question if any of the other characters from Suits will show up. While we can probably rule out Meghan Markle as Rachel Zane, Rick Hoffman as the neurotic and often unscrupulous Louis Litt is certainly worth a revist with. And let’s not forget Patrick J. Adams as college dropout-turned attorney Mike Ross, Sarah Rafferty as the confidant Donna Paulsen, and Gina Torres as the controling Jessica Pearson.
