Journey is in the middle of one of the most exciting periods in the band’s history. The group’s smash hit “Don’t Stop Believin’” was recently named the highest-certified single of all time in America, and now one of their biggest collections is rising higher than ever before on one Billboard chart as fans continue to buy.
The rock band’s Journey’s Greatest Hits compilation returns to Billboard’s Vinyl Albums chart this week. The set reappears on the list of the bestselling titles on vinyl across the U.S. at No. 9.
Now that it’s landed in ninth place on the Vinyl Albums chart, Journey’s Greatest Hits has reached a new high point. The title has only spent three weeks on the ranking since debuting back in 2020, but it seems to still be incredibly popular, as is evidenced by its current performance on the ranking.
Journey’s Greatest Hits now marks Journey’s second-highest-charting title on the Vinyl Albums ranking. Only their own Escape has climbed higher. That set peaked at No. 7 on the vinyl-only list back in 2021.
While Journey’s Greatest Hits might not be their loftiest placement on the Vinyl Albums chart, the compilation now ranks as their longest-charting. With just three weeks somewhere on the tally, the compilation breaks out of a tie with Escape, which has thus far accrued only two frames on the roster.
Journey has only pushed three of their full-lengths to the Vinyl Albums chart throughout their career. In addition to the group’s Journey’s Greatest Hits and Escape, their other album Freedom also managed to break onto the tally. That title spent just one frame on the roster, and it peaked at No. 16 back in 2022.
Journey’s Greatest Hits isn’t just a win on the Vinyl Albums chart this week. The set also reappears on a number of other Billboard lists, spurred by its recent sales spike. The title also bounds back onto the Billboard 200 at No. 59 and the Top Album Sales chart at No. 12.
