Jung Kook is back inside the highest tier on the songs chart in the U.K. with his just-released single “3D.” The tune has become another hit for the BTS star, and with a pair of wins now to his credit in rapid succession, it seems clear that he’s become a proper star on his own.
“3D,” which also credits rapper Jack Harlow, debuts at No. 5 on the U.K. songs chart. Jung Kook scores the loftiest start of the week, beating new songs by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Jorja, and Dominci Fike, to name just a few.
The tune marks the second appearance inside the top 10 on the nation’s ranking of the most-consumed tunes for Jung Kook. He first hit the highest tier earlier this year with what has been labeled his debut solo single, “Seven.” That track, which features Latto, debuted and peaked at No. 3 this summer.
Looking at his entire solo output, Jung Kook has now sent four songs to the U.K. singles chart. In 2022, he scored his first two wins, and now he’s doubled that sum in 2023. Last year, “Stay Alive” peaked at No. 89. He then returned to the tally as a featured act on Charlie Puth’s “Left and Right,” which rose to No. 41.
Including the music he’s released as a member of BTS, Jung Kook has now reached the top 10 on the U.K. songs chart with half a dozen tracks. The septet has thus far accrued four top 10s in the country, as their singles “Dynamite,” “Life Goes On,” “Butter,” and “My Universe” with Coldplay all spent time close to the summit.
Both “3D” and “Seven” will be featured on Jung Kook’s debut solo collection Golden. The album is slated to drop in November.
