For the third consecutive week, Jung Kook and Latto maintain their reign as the champions of the music world. Their collaborative track, “Seven,” has successfully retained its position at the pinnacle of the Billboard Global 200 chart. Despite facing formidable competition, the dynamic duo has managed to emerge victorious, securing their place atop the chart company’s prestigious weekly ranking of the most-consumed tracks worldwide.
“Seven” continues to assert its dominance on the Billboard Global 200, refusing to yield its position at No. 1. The track’s resilient hold on the top spot is particularly impressive considering the formidable challenge posed by Travis Scott, one of the most influential and successful rappers in the music industry.
Scott made a valiant attempt to dethrone Jung Kook and Latto, and this time around he debuts three songs within the top 10 of the chart. Two of those tracks, “Meltdown” featuring Drake and “FE!N” featuring Playboi Carti, came tantalizingly close to claiming the coveted first place. “Meltdown” enters at No. 2, while “FE!N” opened at No. 3. Additionally, Scott’s “Hyena” secured the No. 10 position, further emphasizing his chart domination.
Even in its third week of availability, “Seven” continues to captivate audiences around the globe, establishing itself as a bona fide blockbuster release. During the most recent tracking frame, Jung Kook’s chart-topping hit managed an additional 14,000 copies sold and earned another 124.3 million streams, according to Billboard.
While these figures may represent a decline from the previous two weeks, they remain substantial enough to maintain “Seven’s” commanding lead over other contenders vying for the top spot.
Scott, who is known as a formidable force on streaming platforms worldwide, found himself facing an uphill battle against Jung Kook’s unwavering supremacy. Despite the rapper’s global recognition and substantial following, his track “Meltdown” entered with just under 62 million streams worldwide. While an impressive figure in its own right, it paled in comparison to the staggering success of “Seven,” which managed to secure approximately double that number.
“Seven” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart last month, marking a historic milestone for Jung Kook. The BTS star etched his name in the annals of music history as only the second South Korean solo artist to ascend to the summit of this esteemed ranking. What’s more, he became the first solo male musician from South Korea to achieve this monumental feat.
