Jung Kook is back inside the top 10 on the Hot 100 this week with his latest single, “3D.” The tune, which features rapper Jack Harlow, debuts at No. 5 on the ranking of the most-consumed songs in the U.S. With another win under his belt, Jung Kook continues to further separate himself from his BTS bandmates.
As “3D” debuts inside the highest region on the chart, Jung Kook becomes the first member of BTS to reach the top 10 on the Hot 100 more than once outside of the group. The song opens with 13.6 million streams, 3.1 million in radio airplay audience, and 87,000 copies sold, according to Billboard.
This summer, Jung Kook charted his first top 10 as a soloist with “Seven.” The tune was marketed as his debut solo single, even though he had previously reached the Hot 100 under his own name more than once. “Seven,” which credited rapper Latto as a featured guest, debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100.
So far, the only other member of BTS to reach the top 10 on the Hot 100 is Jimin. He went solo several months before Jung Kook, and his single “Like Crazy” was met with the same kind of acclaim from fans. That tune also debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100, making Jimin the first K-pop soloist to rule the ranking.
As a member of BTS, Jung Kook has already reached the highest tier on the Hot 100 several times. The septet has scored six No. 1 smashes and four other top 10s. “3D” and “Seven” will be featured on Jung Kook’s debut solo album Golden, which is slated to drop on November 3.
