Lana Del Rey is still riding high off the success of her latest album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd., even as she’s reportedly already working on something new. The 2023 set is currently nominated for several Grammys, including Album of the Year. As she awaits the results to see if she’ll finally become a winner of the music industry’s most prestigious honor, the singer is also celebrating reaching a very special milestone.
As of this week, Del Rey’s album Born to Die has spent a complete decade on the Billboard 200. The set has now resided on Billboard’s ranking of the most-consumed full-lengths and EPs in the U.S. for 520 weeks, or exactly 10 years.
In the past tracking week, Born to Die moved another 13,717 equivalent units, according to data shared by Luminate. That sum includes 2,074 pure purchases. Streaming activity made up most of the rest of those equivalent units–more than 10,000 of them.
Born to Die is a non-mover on the Billboard 200 as Del Rey rejoices in its 10 years spent on the tally. It’s comfortable at No. 60 this frame once again. The set peaked at No. 2 when Del Rey introduced it to the world, becoming a breakout star in the business.
Del Rey’s current success isn’t confined to only the Billboard 200, though that’s where she makes history. Born to Die is also present on at least four other album rankings published by Billboard.
Born to Die loses ground on nearly all lists it’s present on, but the fact that it’s still going after so many years is impressive in its own right. The title can be found on the Top Album Sales (No. 40), Top Rock & Alternative Albums (No. 13), Top Alternative Albums (No. 6), and Vinyl Albums charts (No. 19). In the past, it has reached the No. 1 spot on the latter two of those lists.
