In a prelude to the full-length’s unveiling, the rapper recently released her new single, “Last Time I Saw You,” which has quickly become another win for the star. As this track reaches the Billboard charts, Minaj once again makes history on the weekly rankings.

“Last Time I Saw You” makes its debut at the top of this week’s R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart. This list ranks songs within the R&B, hip-hop or rap genres that boast the highest sales figures each week.

Minaj’s newest single has catapulted her back to the summit, and “Last Time I Saw You” stands as the rapper’s twenty-fifth chart-topper on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart. It is also her ninetieth top 10 placement on the fiercely competitive list. Billboard reports that, with this new No. 1, Minaj now owns the record for the most No. 1 singles of all time on the ranking.

Until this week, Minaj had been tied with her close friend and frequent collaborator, Drake. Both music industry stalwarts had managed to secure 24 No. 1 smashes on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, but the tie has now been broken.

Currently, Minaj is enjoying the glory of this achievement, though her reign at the top may turn out to be short-lived. Drake is set to release a new single on September 15, which could swiftly ascend to bestseller status. If he does land another No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, the two will be tied once more.

Following the release of a single, Drake’s album For All The Dogs is expected to drop the next week, The full-length could possibly generate yet another No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart, and he may regain his spot in the history books very soon.

“Last Time I Saw You” clinched the No. 1 spot on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart thanks to the 13,402 copies it sold in its debut week of availability, according to data shared by Luminate.

The single also opened at No. 4 on the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart, marking the fifty-sixth top 10 hit in Minaj’s career.

The same title also soared to the summit of the R&B Digital Song Sales chart, as Billboard categorized the smash as, R&B rather than rap. On that particular chart, Minaj has now claimed the top spot four times and it immediately becomes her sixteenth top 10 hit.
