Lazy Sunday is upon us and sadly this means that the weekend is already halfway over. Soon the day of the sun will set, and the day of the moon will rise, pale and cold. But let’s not get too bogged down in worries about tomorrow. We have a puzzle to solve today.
Strands is the newest game in the New York Times’ stable of puzzle games. It’s a fun twist on classic word search games. Every day we’re given a new theme and then tasked with uncovering all the words on the grid that fit that theme, including a spangram that spans two sides of the board. Let’s solve today’s, shall we?

Today’s Strands Breakdown
Today’s Strands puzzle goes well with yesterday’s, especially if you enjoy purple fabric. I found MAGENTA right away but I was already 99% sure this was a purple grid. Purple is a royal shade, after all. Pretty much all the rest of these went really quick until the top left corner with LAVENDER and finally PLUM. It just looked like a jumble of letters for a long time but I finally sorted it out.
