The Garfield Movie is the new box office champion and several big stars are featured alongside Chris Pratt in the voice cast.
Garfield came in a close second to Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga when the film opened in theaters on Memorial Day weekend. However, the animated movie about the lasagna-loving cat maintained its legs and finished No. 1 at the box office in its second weekend.
Guardians of the Galaxy and Parks and Recreation star Chris Pratt voices Garfield in The Garfield Movie, which begins with Garfield’s tale (or is it tail?) as a kitten and how he he shares a life with his human “dad” Jon Arbuckle and their dog Odie (voice of Harvey Guillén).
Despite his comfortable life, Garfield has been troubled over why his father, Mac abandoned him in an alley when he was a kitten.
Here’s a look at the stars whose voices are among the ensemble of characters in The Garfield Movie.
Garfield: Voice of Chris Pratt
While Chris Pratt has had a very successful career in the live-action film and TV with roles in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy and Avengers and Jurassic World franchises, he’s emerging as one of the go-to voice actors for animated features.

Rhames might be the most prolific voice actor in The Garfield Movie cast, as he’s assembled a long list of animated movie and TV show credits. Among them are the stop-motion animated movie Wendell & Wild, as well as the computer-animated hits Lilo & Stitch, Lilo & Stitch: The Series, Stitch! The Movie and Leroy & Stitch.
