Of course, brunch is the move here and so many New York City restaurants are pulling out the stops to celebrate moms, grandmothers, step-moms, dog moms – whoever wants to indulge in special mid-morning through mid-afternoon meals. Here’s where to treat mom to a top notch meal this spring.
For a special Mother’s Day experience, Parker’s is hosting a live jazz brunch with a prix fixe menu, plus an unlimited make-your-own mimosa bar. Menu highlights include Parker’s Seafood Platter with prawn cocktail, snow crab claws, ahi tuna tartar, cocktail sauce, lemon; Duck and Waffles with gochujang glaze, scallion waffles and honey butter; Lox and Caviar with naan, everything spiced creme fraiche and dill, and more. Brunch will run from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m., and is $78 for adults and $55 for kids. The Bubble bar is $15 for one visit, $35 for three visits and $60 for unlimited visits, per person.
For an unforgettable celebration, La Marchande is offering live music and a special gift for moms: a complimentary bouquet of flowers with any purchase of an exclusive Mother’s Day cocktail. A $95 per guest brunch from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. ($45 for children 12 and under) will offer selections from the raw bar, charcuterie and cheeses, housemade pastries, and the choice of entrée per guest. Aquavit is offering an exquisite Nordic take on Mother’s Day brunch. Chef Emma Bengtsson’s tasting menu begins with a buffet spread of Aquavit’s specialties, including house-pickled Herring, Shrimp Skagen Toast, Gravlax, Cold Poached Salmon, and Chilled White Asparagus Soup. For those looking to indulge themselves, there is the option of Löjrom salmon roe at $65 per ounce or Osetra caviar at $125 per ounce. For the main course, guests can choose between the Grilled Wagyu Strip Loin with pomme paillasson, morels, and ramps or the Seared Halibut with green asparagus, peas, and Löjrom. The Strawberry Vacherin a meringue with rhubarb, lemon, and woodruff is the sweet close to the meal.
Alta Calidad blends Chef Nawab’s Indian heritage with Mexican cuisine offering a brunch menu of classic and fusion dishes inspired by his mother. The Breakfast Roti, a twist on the familiar burrito, is served with chorizo verde, black beans, sunny-side-up eggs, pickled onions, and salsa verde. Other mom-approved delights include Brisket and Egg Breakfast Tacos, and on the sweeter side, Ricotta Pancakes with a plantain brûlée.

IRIS’s 3-course Mother’s Day Brunch Menu ($75 per person) includes a family-style mezze spread featuring favorites like roasted eggplant, hilopitaki salad, and hummus, and entrée selections ranging from a decadent Greek olive oil pancake with strawberry compote and spiced whipped cream to a branzino filet served atop a summer vegetable mosaic with pecan muhammara. Ending brunch on a sweet note, a Pastry Chariot ushers in a selection of pistachio baklava, black and white halva, and Greek honey cookies.
Chef Eunji Lee is kicking off her pastry shop’s brunch for Mother’s Day weekend, available both Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. The three-course menu features a house made granola parfait, honey yogurt and fruit with seasonal juice pairing, a savory leek quiche and signature viennoiserie basket including pain au chocolat, broiche, croissant, kouign amann and warm babka with butter + house-made jams and spreads. Beverage offerings include Korean tea service, espresso martinis with Lysée’s signature brown rice milk and calamansi mimosas. The pre-fixe menu is $58 per person.
