Today the British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced Pandora, the globally acclaimed jewellery brand, as the Principal Partner for The Fashion Awards 2023 (TFA).

Celebrities, designers and brand leaders will once again gather at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall on December 4th 2023 for what has now become a ‘must-attend’ event in the fashion calendar.

The partnership with Pandora is seen as an opportunity to redefine the event, turning it into a global entertainment beacon that will celebrate fashion’s pivotal role at the nexus of culture and entertainment. The collaboration aims to shed light on the year’s defining moments in fashion, underlined by purpose, excellence, and creativity.

Additionally, TFA stands as the primary fundraising event for the BFC Foundation, further underscoring the importance of this partnership. Pandora, with its core values rooted in quality, craftsmanship, and innovation, is an ideal fit for TFA.

Recognized for its iconic jewellery designs, crafted by its Creative Directors Francesco Terzo and A. Filippo Ficarelli, Pandora champions self-expression through its accessible collections. Pandora also claims a commitment to sustainability with goals to use only recycled silver and gold by 2025 and achieve complete carbon neutrality in the same timeframe. The brand has also taken groundbreaking steps, such as the introduction of its Pandora Lab Grown Diamonds, to emphasize sustainability at every stage of the production process.

Mary Carmen Gasco-Buisson, Pandora’s Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized the shared values between BFC and Pandora, particularly their joint focus on sustainability and education: “Partnering with the Fashion Awards, one of the most anticipated moments on the global fashion and cultural calendar, is something that we are extremely proud of as Pandora deepens our engagement with the global cultural zeitgeist. The British Fashion Council is at the forefront of the global fashion conversation, and with our purpose of ‘giving a voice to people’s loves,’ we naturally align with their mission to recognize and celebrate the most creative and innovative voices of our time.”

TFA 2023, presented by Pandora, promises to be more than just an awards ceremony. It is a gathering of the global fashion community in London, celebrating change-makers, fostering creativity and paving the way for emerging talent.

This year’s categories span Designer of the Year and Model of the Year to distinctive honours such as the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator and the Outstanding Achievement Award which will be presented to Valentino Garavani.

Mr. Valentino Garavani, the inspiration behind Maison Valentino, is known for his unparalleled artistry in the realm of couture with designs synonymous with luxury, elegance, and sophistication.

Over an illustrious career spanning half a century, he has dressed some of the world’s most influential personalities, ranging from celebrated actresses to powerful politicians. His unwavering commitment to craftsmanship and visionary branding strategy has forever etched his name into the annals of haute couture history.

In the early days of 1960, Rome witnessed the birth of a fashion powerhouse when Mr. Valentino, in collaboration with Giancarlo Giammetti, launched Maison Valentino. Since then, every collection has been a testament to Mr. Valentino’s unparalleled aesthetic — bold hues, plush fabrics, intricate detailing and an undeniable flair for drapery that enchants the fashion cognoscenti. Two of his most recognizable contributions to the fashion lexicon include the mesmerizing ‘Valentino Red’ and the signature ‘V’ emblem adorning the brand’s luxury accessories. Even though he stepped away from the design helm in 2008, the global luxury brand still resonates with Mr. Valentino’s unique sensibilities, seamlessly blending feminine elegance, the allure of classic Hollywood and unmatched craftsmanship.

Mr. Valentino, founder and former creative director, the Maison Valentino expressed: “It is a tremendous honour to receive the Outstanding Achievement Award. Throughout the years, I have been fortunate to witness the transformative power of fashion and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities I have had. To be honoured in London, one of my most beloved cities, makes this momentous occasion even more special. I am truly humbled, and I hope to continue to inspire future generations of designers to challenge conventional norms and wholeheartedly embrace innovation, beauty, and glamour.”

Additionally, TFA will introduce ‘NEW WAVE: Creatives’, recognizing 50 young, groundbreaking creative talents from around the globe. This initiative further cements the awards’ commitment to foster the next generation of fashion leaders.

The organisers of The Fashion Awards have promised to set new benchmarks in celebrating creativity, innovation, and sustainability in the fashion industry at this year’s red carpet event.
