In case you missed Sunday’s NYT Mini, you can find the answers here:
Wondering who the Inside Out girl is? Not sure what a locale for cars may be? Don’t worry, because I’m here to help you with the answers for today’s NYT Mini crossword.
The NYT Mini is a quick and dirty version of the newspaper’s larger and long-running crossword. Most days, there are between three and five clues in each direction on a five by five grid, but the puzzles are sometimes larger, especially on Saturdays.
Unlike its larger sibling, the NYT Mini crossword is free to play on the New York Times website or NYT Games app. However, you’ll need an NYT Games subscription to access previous puzzles in the archives.
To help you avoid getting stuck and having to reveal missing letters, here are the NYT Mini Crossword answers for Tuesday, February 18 (spoilers lie ahead, of course):
NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers
NYT Mini Across Answers
1 Across: Urban green space – PARK
5 Across: Place to store computer files – DRIVE
6 Across: Inside Out girl – RILEY
7 Across: The “E” of E.M.T.: Abbr. – EMER
8 Across: Word that can follow 1- and 5-Across to make locales for cars – WAY
NYT Mini Down Answers
1 Down: ___ donna – PRIMA
2 Down: Alvin of dance – AILEY
3 Down: One going cross-country in a camper, for short – RVER
4 Down: Escape room item – KEY
5 Down: Played a round of Pictionary – DREW
It took me 0:51 to complete today’s NYT Mini.
I got the first four Across answers with little difficulty, but I must have mis-pressed a key, as I accidentally filled RILEY in from the 6 box downward. That confused me a little as the wrong first letter was in place for WAY (Y instead of W).
I knew PRIMA was the answer for 1 Down, but I had never heard of Alvin AILEY. Nor was I really familiar with the term “parkway.” But hey, I got the right answers eventually, especially once 5 Down clicked.
