Georgia Governor Brian Kemp Urges U.S. To ‘Stand Strong With Israel’

News Room

On Forbes Newsroom, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) urged the United States to continue to “stand strong” with one of our “most important allies” amidst the Israel-Hamas war.

In response to the attacks on Israel by Hamas, Georgia bought $10 million in bonds from Israel “to support its defense efforts.”

Kemp told Forbes Newsroom his state planned to buy even more, but $10 million was what the market offered.

Kemp also spoke out against the anti-Semitism that has been seen in the wake of the Hamas attack and Israel’s response, as well as the anti-Israel sentiment witnessed on college campuses throughout the U.S. “We are a state that’s too busy to hate,” Kemp said, pointing to anti-hate crimes legislation he signed into law in 2020. “As we saw with Hamas, there are a lot of sick people in this world … and we just have to continue to stand strong in opposition to that, whether it’s people being targeted or acts of war.”
