Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the declined 0.89%.

The best performers of the session on the were Israel Corp (TASE:), which rose 2.22% or 1,860.00 points to trade at 85,640.00 at the close. Meanwhile, OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:) added 1.76% or 44.00 points to end at 2,540.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:) was up 1.47% or 25.00 points to 1,725.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:), which fell 3.46% or 156.00 points to trade at 4,350.00 at the close. Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:) declined 2.68% or 57.00 points to end at 2,071.00 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:) was down 2.24% or 250.00 points to 10,900.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 241 to 230 and 66 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.46% or 1.10 to $76.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.39% or 1.11 to hit $81.15 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 4.75 to trade at $2,020.75 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was unchanged 0.11% to 3.70, while EUR/ILS fell 0.28% to 4.01.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 103.38.
