DETROIT (Reuters) -The next new model from Stellantis (NYSE:)’ Chrysler brand will be a two-row electric crossover in 2025, Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell said Wednesday.
The brand also is considering the introduction of a new sedan, as its long-running Chrysler 300 is being phased out of production.
Speaking at the Reuters Events Automotive USA 2023 conference in Detroit, Feuell said the design of the new crossover is inspired by the Chrysler Airflow concept unveiled at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show.
The new crossover will share the STLA Large architecture with other Stellantis models, she said.
Feuell said Chrysler is still considering the size of a new sedan. She said a concept version will be revealed early next year, but did not provide details.
Chrysler expects to continue offering a hybrid gas-electric Pacifica minivan “through end of decade,” Feuell said.
The brand is testing a digital “customer experience” website where consumers can configure, order and schedule delivery of new vehicles, she said.
Chrysler also is testing artificial intelligence in customer support call centers.
