News Room

Entrepreneur, 30 years of experience, getting results by using technology in the marketing & sales process, CEO of CRM excellence and Fueld.

As artificial intelligence technology continues to advance, businesses and brands are looking for ways to use AI in their marketing strategies. Previously, we discussed the rise of AI and how it can be applied to marketing, how to handle its ethical dilemmas and how to begin using AI in your own marketing efforts. Now, I want to share a few essential AI tools that can help you with your daily tasks.

How can AI tools be used in marketing?

AI tools are already present in our lives and come in many forms—like Siri or the navigation system in your car. In the same way, marketers can choose from many tools that contribute to different tasks in the marketing campaign.

You can use AI every step of the way from content creation to boosting your campaigns. For example:

• Neuroflash can help optimize your website’s content for SEO.

• ChatGPT can help automate customer support so when an incoming message arrives it will be automatically answered based on predefined scripts.

• Byword and JasperAI can quickly generate qualitative content.

How can you select the right tool for your needs?

When selecting an AI tool, you need to consider both the required tasks and the ethical implications of its use. First and foremost, it’s important to respect customer privacy when collecting and using data; this can help ensure successful campaigns. Next, marketers need to identify the specific task that needs to be managed. From here, you can choose the right tool to start working. Here are a few that I’ve personally found useful:

ChatGPT: The New Google

ChatGPT, a tool by OpenAI, is said to be the next Google search. Ask any question and you get a human-like response. The chatbot can even demonstrate critical thinking skills.

For example, I asked ChatGPT, “What is the average increase of followers on LinkedIn during a LinkedIn campaign?” It responded with, “There is no definitive answer to this question, as the increase in LinkedIn followers during a LinkedIn campaign can vary widely depending on a variety of factors such as the size of the company, the industry, the goals of the campaign, the content being shared, and the target audience.” Though followed by a study that gives an average percentage, this showcases a well-rounded perspective.

ChatGPT also offers a WordPress plug-in that a web developer can use with an entire step-by-step workflow and explanation, including the codes you have to add.

JasperAI: The All Around Marketer

Jasper could stand to revolutionize your entire marketing department, with the capability to contribute to:

• Blog posts.

• SEO copywriting.

• E-mail workflows.

• Product descriptions.

• Ad campaigns.

Jasper can help you increase productivity with automated tasks, such as managing campaigns, and can support many languages.

HubSpot AI: The New Deal

Recently, HubSpot announced it will be launching its own AI toolkit for HubSpot users, with features like:

• A content assistant.

• Chat-based commands for faster marketing and sales tasks.

• SEO suggestions.

• Call recording and transcriptions.

How can you collaborate with AI to effectively create content?

My organization has mostly been focused on the use of AI for copywriters, and we’ve found that it doesn’t take much to write a blog post with AI. The difficulty lies in inputting the information.

How To Make Your Input As Clear As Possible

Before putting AI tools to work, marketers should provide context for the written piece. For example, you’ll want to think about who the intended audience is and what kind of tone are you trying to achieve. These guidelines can help you tap into the tool’s powerful algorithms and get the most out of your marketing campaigns.

• Be specific, yet concise, and write prompts in a way that AI can easily understand. You need to be explicit about what you want the AI to do and from which perspective you want AI to work.

• Use descriptions or examples.

• Share your goal for the piece.

For example, a possible prompt could be: “You are a top marketeer with expertise on Google advertising. Write an advertising text on [subject] that needs to [goal] for [target group] with a maximum of 50 words. The tone of voice is [tone of voice].”

Writing A Blog Post In Three Steps

Now that you know how to prepare your input, let’s use the example of writing a blog post to demonstrate how AI can be used to improve a task that is part of your daily routine. This process can be broken down into three steps:

1. Ask ChatGPT for a content strategy or outline.

When thinking about a new topic, you can ask ChatGPT for a summary of the topic, a list of current studies, ideas for how-to articles or a top 10 list. This information can then be used to create a list of various subtopics. Feel free to play around with the input and rephrase your questions until you find the right angle that you had imagined.

2. Use Jasper to optimize for SEO.

Next, you can copy and paste the information provided by ChatGPT into Jasper and request that it automatically write an intro paragraph using SEO best practices and keywords.

3. Adjust the content accordingly.

Once you have a strong foundation, you can get to work on the writing portion and add your own expertise. You’ll also want to fact-check any claims that the AI tools may have made and make sure that suggested keywords make sense with the topic you are writing about.

In conclusion, AI technology can be an invaluable asset for marketers. You can use multiple tools in your process but also don’t want to overuse the technology. By using the right AI tools and following best practices, marketers can stay ahead of the game and create effective marketing campaigns with great results.
